The northern hemisphere here on planet earth will soon begin her show of spring renewal and nature will remind us that eternal cycles bring change….demanding, pensive, at times violent, beautiful, gentle…polychromic from a black and white winter.

In the trained hands of artisanal dental professionals-artists and scientists, the 79 protons and neutrons will continue to be lovingly worked and placed into service exactingly sealing the white lustrous at times even opalescent hydroxyapatite which has no other equal we know of in this universe.

The durable longevity over time demands that gold be precisely put into daily use extending the life of too often fragile teeth in a harsh oral environment. The joint Academies we share have been passionately maintained and nurtured not for a fortnight but over a century combined.

So when American football season rolls around this year your combined officers will be discussing and strategizing on the merits of progressively merging our beloved academies, once again. We are calling on prayerful tolerance and patience for the process to continue to gently move forward.

As Dr Warren Johnson likes to say, “slow is smooth and smooth is fast”…. * *The mantra “slow is smooth, and smooth is fast” (often credited to Navy SEALs) means that performing tasks deliberately and without rushing—smoothly—reduces errors, ultimately making you faster overall. Rushing leads to mistakes and inefficiency, while methodical, calm action ensures high-quality results.

So, I will leave you on this note… wishing each of you a bountiful Spring and Summer… do good things…. See many of you in Washington this fall if you can make it; and, the rest for our combined Academy meeting in Boston in 2027.
