Short Course

Join our Short Course and learn how to prepare and place a Tucker gold inlay and gold foil restoration.

Last year our Academy introduced the “Short Course,” a two-day introductory course on cast gold indirect restorations (Tucker style) and direct gold restorations (gold foil).
This year the course will be repeated at the end of the Annual Meeting. The course reviews the core principles of inlay preparations along with impression taking and temporization. The participants insert a 2-surface gold inlay, finish the margins, and polish the restoration.
On the direct gold side, we review the principles of how direct gold restorations work, along with preparation design, insertion/condensations of the gold, as well as finishing and polishing. Also this year, there will be a small group to study the Cl V foil restoration. This could be for dentists who have experience with Cl Is from last year’s Short Course or Tucker Study Club work.
